| Subject: Will you help? Wed Dec 08, 2010 3:12 am | |
| I think I remember trying to do this last year, but this year I was hoping to get some support from my drag team and my fellow racers. My cousin, Joseph Nunez (16 years old), is very sick and has a very rare form of bone cancer. I would like to dedicate the 2011 season to him and his fight with cancer. I am making up vinyl decals that will simply read "FOR JOE" and will be sticking one to the bottom left corner of my back window. What I need your support with is 'donating' a piece of glass on your car to display this decal as well. I don't need physical or monetary support in this venture. I bought a vinyl cutting machine and also bought a special kind of vinyl that is shade changing (it's actually called Beetle, if you know how they change in the light). I just need to know if you will allow this decal to be placed in the same spot as mine on your window for the 2011 season and at the end of the season it can be peeled off with no residual adhesive being left over. I already have overwhelming support from some of the Mopar Drag Team. Thank you very much to those who have already volunteered to display this decal. Last year I dedicated MY personal race season to Joe and our drag team came away with a championship. If you don't want to display it for my cousin or you know someone who has cancer, then this decal could be displayed for them also. In some people's minds "FOR JOE" could stand for "Joe Blow" who has cancer (i.e mother, father, brother, sister, cousin, friend, neice, nephew). It would mean so much to me to see a flood of displayed decals that support peoples fight with cancer. We all know someone, or know someone who knows someone who knows someone with cancer. Joe means a lot to me and it literally breaks my heart that, at his age, he has to endure something so tragic. My family is everything to me and if I was able to take the cancer from him and take it upon myself, I would do it in a heartbeat. I certainly have experienced life and the majority of what it has to offer and would take the cancer from him so that he, also, can live a full life. He has been a trooper with what has happened to him and I know that he would greatly appreciate this. I want to try and get him to one of the races this year to get him out of the house and to show him that there are people that support his fight with cancer. Thank you very much for your consideration and if you want a decal for your car please email me so I know how many decals to make up (OneSicSRT@aol.com). Thank you in advance. Here are the names of people taking part so far; Troy Travis Allen Hess Steve (Slim) Neel Dave Kranz Adam Nelson Greg Torfin Wilson Gautama Jim Bowen Jason Cooper [img] [/img] | |
