Want to make sure my helmet is still legal. Would hate to not pass tech over something basic.

Must be SNEL 2005 or 2010 to be legal. The older SNEL 2000 are past their datde.

I am 99% sure Auto Racing Helmets are 5 year increments.
So, a sticker with SA00 or 2000 is good to 05 or 2005.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

A quick research on why SA2010 cert has not been implemented (source = http://www.racinghelmetguide.com/2008/11/sa2010-helmets.html )

There were several reasons for delaying the introduction of the Snell SA2010 and K2010 certification:
• The final draft of the standard is not quite complete
• SA2005 must be continued for at least the next year, in any case, in order to support the FIA 8860 advanced helmet specification.

Since Snell SA2005 and K2005 must be supported for a few years longer, and since no final draft of Snell SA2010 and K2010 has been distributed as yet, the introduction of SA/K2010 has been pushed back one year until October 1, 2010, which had been the date originally expected. It is hoped that the decision will allow Snell certified manufacturers of SA and K rated helmets an easier transition to the new requirements.

Well my cousin races for a living and he just spitted right out that 2000 is good through this yr. I need to look at an actual rule book.

I went to look at mine last night and found my NHRA membership expired last month. I renewed it so I should have a 2011 rulebook today. I'll post the results.
